IT Data Analyst in Financial Anti-Crime Systems, Nordic

We are looking for a new team member to drive analysis activities on structured and unstructured data sources in order to reveal patterns and insights contributing to preventing and fighting financial crime. Detecting and preventing financial crime is very important for Nordea in order to remain compliant with regulation requirements and to mitigate financial and reputational risks. The position we offer The Financial Anti-Crime IT Domain is known for accelerated technology development and need for sophisticated analytics solutions and use of Big Data in order to meet increasingly stringent compliance requirements as well as to detect and prevent financial crime despite the fast increasing level of fraudulent and malware activities especially in cyber space. You will act as a Lead Data Analyst, where you will collect, structure and analyse multiple data sets using statistical and other methods in order to design algorithms or other business rules to be used for countering financial crime. More specifically will you be responsible for: •Defining and validating data and data sources to ensure accuracy in existing and new data needed from local legacy systems, including cooperating with other projects, units and solution suppliers. •Ensuring that the data model is documented and the analysis supports the business and architec-ture vision, functional requirements and use-cases. •Training and supporting the organisation in un-derstanding Big Data analytics. •Designing, visualizing and integrating reports, dashboards and statistics for management and incident investigators. •Being the single-point of contact and coordinator in all data related questions between system owners, architects, designers and suppliers. •Developing and implementing search tools and data algorithms. •Calibrating analytics and propelling analytics de-velopment via conducting statistical analyses on various data sources and data sets. •Identifying, preparing validating and integrating data from multiple real-time data sources and online fraud detection systems. You will be a sparring partner for business stakeholders, IT developers, IT line managers and Project Managers during the different phases of the development of our Global Fraud Monitoring solution. You will be reporting to the Head of Authentication & Fraud portfolio team in IT Wholesale Banking. The qualifications you need You have broad experience in IT including Agile approaches and Scrum methodology. Knowledge and experience in information architecture modelling are highly valued. You should also have experience of working with banking/financial institutions. Experience with Financial Anti-crime applications and Big Data will be a major plus. More specifically you need to demonstrate: •An understanding of and experience from banking and financial real-time analytics and business intelligent platforms, together with statistical software packages. •Experience from working with outsourced data systems. •An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret patterns, links and trends in data. •Understand and be able to apply various data analytics and Big Data concepts like Machine learning, Conceptual modelling, Statistical analysis, Predictive modelling and Hypothesis testing. •Experience from working with real-time big data storage technology. You can work independently in a structured manner and you act as a trusted advisor for multiple internal stakeholders. You also have experience of working together with 3rd party solution providers. Your communication skills are excellent and you are able to speak technical language with IT experts as well as translate to business language with other stakeholders. You have a relevant Bachelor’s/Master's degree and you are fluent in English and at least one of the Nordic languages. You are willing to travel within the Nordic region.
