- ensuring an effective integration of EHS processes and standards in our operational organization Job ID: 166158 Location: Vejle Organization: Siemens in Denmark – Siemens Wind Power – http://www.siemens.com/windpower Mode of employment: Full time Within Business Excellence (BE) in our Offshore Market Unit we are looking for an experienced EHS Specialist to join our performance department. You will be based at our Offshore headquaters in Vejle, Denmark, but will occasionally need to visit the project sites to support and follow up on EHS performance. What are my responsibilities? As an Offshore EHS Specialist / EHS Expert, you will be a part of driving and ensuring a high level of performance within EHS globally. Further you will be an important support to our Zero Harm and Zero Defects cultural drives. More specifically, your main responsibilities will cover: •Providing Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) support to our business. • Promoting and improving environment, health and safety standards, processes and procedures related to ISO14001 / OHSAS18001. • Implementation and support of ISO14001 / OHSAS18001 related issues. • Being ambassador for our Zero Harm / Defects culture including designing and driving EHS campaigns to effectively implement these on-site as well as in our offices. • Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures and guidelines towards the management system and assisting locations in the implementation. • Identifying Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety requirements when entering new markets. • Support in relation to chemical management systems development and maintenance. What do I need to qualify for this job? • A relevant engineering, technical or marine/offshore education combined with experience in project management within the offshore (wind), marine or construction industry. • Today you may be in a position as marine superintendent / safety officer or similar. • Experience in relation to developing and / or supporting implementation and compliance of safety management systems. • Advanced knowledge of ISO14001 / OHSAS18001 and international EHS legislation. • Experience with environmental, waste and chemical management. As a person, you are outgoing, decisive, change oriented and proactive, and you possess a high degree of intercultural awareness. You have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing. In addition, you are open to new ways of thinking, and you have a result and quality oriented approach to your assignments. If you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
