Then we urge you to keep on reading as you could be our next Regional Category Manager at Danfoss Procurement (DP) within Iron Casting. DP is responsible for strategic sourcing activities globally across our factories.The position can be based at one of the Danfoss offices in Denmark (Kolding, Aarhus or Nordborg), but a flexible location with home office is also possible. The Regional Category Manager will report to the Head of Category Iron Casting. Category Strategy Development and Stakeholder Management As Regional Category Manager, you will be responsible for strategic sourcing activities towards our suppliers with a strong focus on supply chain improvements and total cost savings. This is a highly visible position as you will navigate at all levels both internally and externally, and consequently, you will have excellent opportunities to develop your personality and management skills further. Together with your highly skilled colleagues, you will be responsible for negotiating commercial conditions and contracts with strategic suppliers on behalf of Danfoss globally. You will play a key role in developing the Danfoss global category strategy, processes and tools. And you will perform Supplier Relationship Management, including development of our portfolio of strategic suppliers. The job will enable you to develop your creativity and require you to find new ways of thinking. You will have a wide interface with both internal and external stakeholders and play a central role in creating impact and changes. As Regional Category Manager, you will be responsible for screening the market for new solutions and partners and execute the strategies in full compliance with divisions and businesses. Furthermore, you will be responsible for establishment of agreements, negotiations, supplier selection and supplier classification. Your key tasks will be to: •Manage and develop the category strategy for the region and secure development of the suppliers’ performance and value contribution •Manage and develop relationships with global and local stakeholders •Drive supplier consolidation and cost down activities with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams •Proactively pursue new opportunities and technologies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers Solid networking skills with talent and drive Your educational background is preferably a Master’s or Bachelor's degree within Engineering, Economics or equivalent, backed by solid procurement/category management experience. It will be considered a strong asset if you are experienced in procurement and negotiations with suppliers, preferably iron casting or other relevant technologies and markets. Moreover, you have a strong business understanding and project management skills. It is essential that you are result-oriented, and that you have excellent negotiation skills. You hold an analytical approach and are able to work both independently and in cross-functional teams. You are also experienced at leading change and prioritising. You master English at negotiation level, have diplomatic skills and are able to communicate at all levels in the organisation.
