Then join us as Operational Risk Management Specialist. We Offer We are looking for a person with extensive experience of Operational Risk Management (ORM) in high-hazard industries, specifically in relation to HSE Case management and compliance with the various national and international regulatory frameworks that exist in the oil and gas sector. Maersk Drilling has continuously been working with barrier management as a means of reducing the risk of a major accident in our operations, and in order to further increase our efforts we recently strengthened the capability in this area with the creation of a new section within the HSSE department dedicated to process safety. You will report to the Head of Process Safety and be chiefly responsible for developing and maintaining our unit HSE Cases and emergency response documentation in accordance with statutory requirements. As ORM specialist, you will also play a key role in our strategy to be recognised as the leading drilling contractor within Process Safety and barrier management. You will be responsible for overseeing our operational risk management obligations, including the identification of changes to regulations and directives that affect our unit operations, be they at a global or local level. When required, you will be able to demonstrate how we manage compliance to key stakeholders including clients and regulators. Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities will among other things be to: • Stay abreast of changes in local and international regulations within the oil and gas sector and assess the impact to our operations both in terms of compliance obligations and risk management capability. • Act as Business Process Owner (BPO) for unit ORM documentation including HSE Cases and emergency response documentation. • Assist the Head of Process Safety with implementing the Maersk Drilling Process Safety Management strategy and framework. • Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment and risk management activities as required by unit operations. • Work with stakeholders across the Maersk Drilling organization to define and implement best practice in relation to management of operational compliance. Who we are looking for You have more than 5 years’ experience within the oil and gas sector in a technical support or operational role, preferably with a drilling background. You have worked for at least 3 years in a Technical HSE or Risk Management role and have experience participating in multi-disciplinary teams conducting safety reviews such as HAZID / HAZOP. You have extensive knowledge of HSE Case development and management processes, including the development of both major accident bow-ties and performance standards. You hold a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent qualification. You are equally comfortable working in a team environment and on your own initiative. You can adapt to the changing priorities and uneven workloads common to a dynamic working environment such as the oil and gas industry and you demonstrate this through your excellent time management and task prioritization skills. You are comfortable making presentations and facilitating meetings both internally and externally. You speak and write English fluently, just as you in general have good communication skills, making you comfortable talking to people at all levels of the organization and bringing your knowledge into play.
