About this job As a frontend engineer at Issuu, you will be joining a team of highly skilled web enthusiasts building web applications in an agile environment. We currently cover platforms ranging from desktop, tablet over mobile web and native apps. This includes building great reponsive websites that ensure the best possible user experience on all platforms. We are proud of running a NodeJS/Express server in a production system that serves billions of pages every month. Our client side applications are a mix of vanilla JavaScript, small BackboneJS apps and a highly customized version of Twitter Bootstrap. Sass enables us to keep our CSS well structured. As our ideal candidate, you are excited about HTML5 features like SVG and are on the pulse of new developments in the browser technology field. Chrome's Developer Tools are your best friend, but you're aware that there are other browsers out there. In a system the size of Issuu, code maintainability is just as important as site accessibility. That also means that you are willing to share your code with other people or sit together for pair progamming sessions.
