Inspire your team to provide world-class IT support As service desk manager you lead our global IT Service Desk, focusing on two main areas: technical support and business application support. With 9 full-time associates, 1 intern and 3 student assistants, the team supports our global systems (Dynamics AX, MS CRM 2015, Citrix and MasterControl) as well as provide technical support on PCs, printers and core technical platforms like Skype for Business. Manage daily operations in the IT Service Desk Your role spans from daily management of the team and handling incidents and service request to spearheading problem and change management. With your talent for organising cross-functional teams, you make sure that every team member is able to contribute with their skills. Moreover, you use your problem solving skills and knack for troubleshooting to get to the core of technical problems in order to find the best solution, as you: - Plan team resources, taking into account improvement events, training, vacation, sickness, etc. - Follow up on SLA violations, fix and escalate issues blocking progress as well as ensure good and timely communication to end users in order to minimize the impact of outages and issues - Evaluate and define new issues to be handled as well as ensuring that problems and solutions are documented in our solutions database - Collaborate closely with colleagues in our internal infrastructure team to make sure the team is ready to support when IT services changes, ensuring minimum disruption for the business Contribute to development and collaboration across borders While the IT Service Desk plays an instrumental role in supporting operations, the size of our current team creates several opportunities for development.
