Job Description Biogen, the world’s oldest independent biotech company, is a world leader in the development and manufacturing of biologics, and faces some very exciting times with impending launches of multiple products in coming years. We are looking for an ambitious automation engineer to support the commercial manufacturing on the Hillerød site. You will be responsible for maintaining the validated state of the site’s manufacturing control systems and for designing, specifying, controlling cost and scheduling automation and control systems. The automation group consists of 9 highly skilled and motivated Engineers. On top of this we have 14 automation consultants assigned helping with project work and production changes. The group consists of people from both Denmark and several European countries. The diversity of the group ensures the group functions both on a technical and a social level. Job responsibilities: Automation support to on-going manufacturing operations. This will require the cooperation with manufacturing personnel and process engineers to diagnose and trouble shoot process failures, equipment problems, software operations and ensure the facility can consistently supply product. Management and execution of automation changes according to Good Automation Practices Implementing control system changes as required by process improvements for current products or process changes required for future products. Cooperation with Engineering to implement new capital projects and with Quality and Validation to ensure control system compliance to all applicable EU and International regulations. Collaboration with other Biogen sites to implement best practices for all aspects of change control, system administration and software development. Knowledge of batch process Previous experience from software maintenance in a GMP or GAMP environment is an advantage Fluency in English written and verbally Personal skills: As a person you are innovative, structured and good at solving problems. You are a good communicator and a team player who enjoys the cooperation with other professional groups. Education You have minimum a Bachelor’s Degree within Engineering or similar.
