Would you like to analyse investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector for one of the most ambitious M&A programmes in the industry? Join us and become our new Senior Financial Analyst in the M&A team, responsible for transaction opportunities within offshore wind. The department is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of five business units in DONG Energy. For more than 20 years, Wind Power has been working actively in the offshore wind industry, and as a result of this, we now have unique knowledge within this field. We use our know-how in all phases of our offshore wind turbine projects - from the early development phase, through the constructing phase to operation and maintenance. Safety is a focus area in everything we do. We have a strong market position, and we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You will be based at our office in Gentofte. Areas of responsibility Your primary role will be to manage and perform financial analyses of relevant projects. You participate in the development of business cases and valuation of Wind Powers' M&A projects. This includes critical assessment of input in relation to the valuation model work. Additionally, you coordinate all areas relating to valuation of the target assets and companies to assist with the M&A process. You will have several interfaces and stakeholders, and accordingly work closely together with investment banks, external lawyers, auditors and tax advisers. Further, you cooperate with other departments, such as Corporate Finance, Strategy and Legal, other business units and our company's senior management on all investment projects. Your key duties will be to: manage financial analyses and discounted cash-flow models to support the valuation process . coordinate business forecasting processes with internal and external consultants discuss valuation input with tax and structuring advisers . prepare deal negotiations with deal team consultants and our management . prepare investment recommendations and board memos in relation to M&A projects. Your profile You have graduated with excellent academic results from university or business school holding a master's degree in economics corresponding to the Danish educations cand.merc., cand.oecon. and cand.polit. or similar. In addition, you have a minimum of two years’ relevant experience. It is essential that you have an analytical approach to your work. You are able to draw on a high work capacity as well as plan and prioritise your tasks to meet deadlines.
