Scientist for Brewing R&D We seek a scientist with experience in brewing science and technology for our Brewing Research & Development team which is at the forefront of developing new enzyme solutions for the brewing industry. The team includes solid competencies in cereal biochemistry, protein chemistry/enzymology, and brewing science. We innovate by finding enzymatic and related technical solutions that match true needs in the brewing industry through a combination of an in-depth knowledge of the brewing processes and the underlying mechanisms at a biochemical level. Qualifications PhD or experience at PhD level in relevant field (e.g. Brewing science, Food science, Biochemistry or Biotechnology). Hands-on experience with research and development in the brewing field. Experience from a brewery or from direct interaction with brewing companies. Good biochemical understanding of enzyme action in complex systems. Experience in project management is an advantage.d You are enthusiastic with an experimental approach and like working with others to produce and analyze high quality scientific results. Furthermore, you are a strong communicator and enjoy working in cross-functional teams. Challenges Your responsibility will be to further develop the competencies within brewing technology to ensure our leading position. You will develop new enzymatic solutions for brewing processes based on both in-house experimental work and on brewing pilot experiments, carried out at leading brewing institutes or with brewery collaboration partners. You will take part in and drive collaboration projects with large breweries and other interactions with customers. Integrating new knowledge and technology will be one of your contributions to our department. A strong ability to interact with your colleagues in Novozymes’ international R&D organization will be key to your successful project work.
