We are looking for an Associate Manager to head up a new team in Product Support. About the department Product Support in Diabetes Finished Products (DFP) Manufacturing Development consists of app. 47 employees. Our main focus is setting standards and providing specific product support to our diabetes products under development as well as our marketed diabetes products. We take the responsibility for products under development several years before the product is marketed and support all Novo Nordisk’s diabetes production sites across the world with product knowledge. Our department is dedicated to always ensure high quality products throughout its lifespan. In the department we believe that delegation as a tool is part of achieving a higher sense of responsibility and also opens up for development opportunities, professionally as well as personally. The department is right now segregated in 2 teams but is in a process of splitting into 3 teams, where you will head up one of the teams. The job You will lead, coach and develop 12-16 highly dedicated and competent academics and laboratory technicians. The team has a broad range of stakeholders both internally in DFP Manufacturing Development and in other parts of Novo Nordisk. As the Associate Manager, your role is to continuously follow up on the team’s performance, manage board meetings to provide a complete overview, and coordinate your team tasks. You will develop your employees’ competencies through systematic training, and your leadership supports a LEAN culture where continuous improvement and a systematic problem solving mind-set are natural parts of everyday work. You report to the department manager and will be a member of the management team. You play an active role in setting direction for the department and in contributing in relation to cross team initiatives and projects. You are willing to share and collaborate, and you take pride in supporting your colleagues in achieving joint targets. Qualifications Ideally you have minimum 1-2 years of management experience and a proven strong leadership track record. You must have the ability to inspire and motivate others, and to empower your team members to deliver excellent results. Preferably you have an education in science supplemented with experience from GMP regulated areas. You have a strong LEAN mind-set, and the ability to facilitate problem solving and to find the right root causes. Additionally, you are well organised and you approach challenges in a logical manner.
