A one-year postdoctoral position at DTU Chemistry is available from 1st October, 2016 with a possibility for another-year extension, depending on the research progress and mutual agreement between the candidate and the supervisor. The postdoc fellow will engage in an up-to-date project under the title “Two-dimensional graphene-perovskite heterostructures for high efficient photo-induced charge transfer”, a two-year research program awarded to Dr. Qijin Chi by the Villum Foundation. The postdoc will be under the supervision of associate professor Qijin Chi, with possibly one additional professor as a co-supervisor. Qualifications Candidates who are interested in the project must have obtained a PhD degree in chemistry or related fields within the recent 3 years (i.e. after 1st November 2013). The candidate must also graduate from outside of DTU. If a candidate has just graduated, she or he must have completed the PhD study and successfully defended PhD dissertation. The strong research background in photo electrochemistry, materials chemistry of graphene and perovskites, and charge transfer science is essential to fulfil this project. In addition, the candidate must be highly motivated, has records independently doing the research, and has good communication skills in English. Applicants should have a thorough interest in the areas associated with nanochemistry, materials chemistry, electrochemistry and physical chemistry. Meanwhile, the position will offer the candidate an opportunity to work in a highly international, productive and dynamic group.
