We have a very challenging and attractive opportunity for you to become our sixth member of the Global Medical Information Research team at Novo Nordisk Global Information & Analysis in Bagsværd, Denmark. The Global Research Unit specialises in the discovery of biological medicines for the treatment of type 1 and 2 diabetes. We also discover and develop new innovative biopharmaceuticals for haemophilia and growth disorders. Furthermore, we conduct stem cell and beta cell regeneration research and other early-stage investigations aimed at finding a cure for diabetes, as well as exploring novel treatments for obesity and long-term, micro-vascular complications of diabetes. The Global Research Unit consists of app. 1.500 highly qualified Scientists, PhDs/PostDocs and Lab Technicians and we conduct our world class research from sites based in the Greater Copenhagen area, Beijing and Seattle. About the department You will join 35 dedicated colleagues within the Novo Nordisk Global Information and Analysis department, which offers a worldwide information service function to headquarters and affiliates. Our purpose is to ensure that internal customers have easy and global access to quality information sources and professional research services supporting their needs. The position offers you a unique combination of medical science and information research. The Job As Medical Information Scientist within diabetes your primary function will be to provide information support to a variety of global and local teams, within areas such as clinical development, medical affairs and pharmacovigilance. You will become specialised in the therapeutic area of diabetes, having a patient centred business approach and directly supporting Novo Nordisk’s aspiration of Changing Diabetes®. With an outgoing drive you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and promoting a robust portfolio of information services to existing and potential stakeholders. Core tasks will include literature surveillance, ad hoc literature searches, tailoring of news and scientific alerts, literature analyses and structured presentation of medical-scientific data. You will also be involved in evaluation and selection of databases and information tools, as well as delivering training on both medical subjects and information resources. Maintenance and updating of databases are also part of the task portfolio. Qualifications Medical science profile with solid communication skills: To qualify for the position you hold (as a minimum) a master´s degree within medical, biomedical, pharmaceutical or biological sciences, or similar, accompanied by documented experience in information searching and/or communication.
