Description The Sampler area in R&D is expanding and looking for an open-minded Mechanical Design Engineer. Would you like to be a part of the team and contribute to the future of samplers in Radiometer? Blood Samplers are an essential part of Radiometers Bloodgas business, and you will be part of the new product development team. We are responsible of developing our future platforms and variants for blood sampling devices. The Sampler team owns the project from the first idea to launch of the product. We aim to be best in class, and we therefore need ambitious mechanical design to ensure an outstanding usability, robust design, and reliable high-volume production (injection molding, assembly and packaging). We expect to produce more than 100,000,000 Samplers each year, and you will be an important part of securing that our new platforms are able to do so. The job To become successful, you must be motivated by working in a complex environment with many stakeholders. Your responsibilities and tasks will include: •Responsibility for specifying, designing and documenting mechanical components, taking other engineering disciplines into account. •Being responsible of a number of suppliers during development phase. •In collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders secure reliable and robust high volume tooling design and high volume assembly design. •Optimize product quality by effective use of DOE, modelling, simulations, solid tolerance calculations etc. •Coaching and coordinating work of small group of mechanical engineers. •Own the Mechanical Engineering tool-box and processes for high volume design incl make recommendations for new technologies, tools and processes. Travel activity of 10 to 15 days per year is to be expected. However, we believe that the following formal qualifications will improve your chances of success: •Master of Science in engineering or similar (minimum B.SC). •Experience with high-volume manufacturing and assembly stations. •Solid practical and hands-on experience with mechanical constructions. •Experience with modelling and tolerance analysis. •3D, 2D experience, CREO would be a benefit.
