Would you like to lead a team of skilled employees working with offshore wind farm construction projects? Join us and become Lead Harbour Logistics Engineer in Harbour & Offshore Logistics which supports our wind power projects in terms of harbour logistics, marine inspection, offshore logistics, marine & helicopter coordination as well as offshore operation management. You will become Lead Harbour Logistics Engineer in the Harbour Logistics team that provides support to our offshore wind projects in connection with the preparation, setup and decommissioning of harbour sites. The department is part of Wind Power which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Lead Harbour Logistics Engineer, you will support the individual offshore wind farm project teams, and your general duties will be to assist our stakeholders in the projects by ensuring the preferred harbour logistics solution for transport of heavy components and small harbours for construction project management site setup. You will manage projects related to harbour logistics. In that process, you will cooperate with external stakeholders, for example harbour authorities, as well as internal stakeholders such as project directors, project managers, wind turbine leads, foundation leads, marine coordinators, contract managers and legal advisors. You will be in charge of driving your own project(s) and will participate as a project member in your colleagues' projects. You will play an essential role in optimising our harbour logistics solutions with the purpose of creating cost-effective solutions that also ensure reliability with regard to delivery. On a daily basis, you will be reporting to our Team Lead, Harbour Logistics & Marine Inspection. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •assist in preparing, planning and implementing harbour logistics concepts for heavy component transport •perform feasibility studies of harbour setups and facilities for pre-assembly, storage and commissioning sites •coordinate the dialogue with harbour authorities and negotiation of contracts and technical scope in cooperation with contract managers and legal advisors •ensure the best technical harbour solutions in cooperation with our specialists in engineering •prepare and participate in contract negotiations together with project representatives and in-house advisors. Your profile You have an educational background as engineer (BSc), marine engineer or master mariner – either supplemented by an education in business administration or business experience. You also have some experience within the fields of heavy-lift transport and vessel coordination as well as knowledge of FIDIC and BIMCO.
