Vice President of Marketing, Refrigeration and A/C Controls

Reporting to the President of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls (RC), the Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing and communications strategy to drive consistent business growth within all market segments and channels within the global division. RC applies 80 years of expertise to ensure food safety throughout the cold chain, comfortable climates in residential and commercial buildings, and efficient and reliable industrial processes. We are a global leader in providing energy efficient and environmentally smart solutions through our Automatic Controls, Electronic Controllers and Services, Heat Exchangers, and Industrial Automation product lines. This newly created position will be responsible for developing and managing the division’s marketing organization of approximately 100 marketing professionals, located worldwide, to achieve Company objectives of sales, growth, profitability and visibility at the RC Division level. Responsibilities •Provide leadership and drive decisions on where to compete in terms of customer segmentation, market selection and value propositioning •Synthesize input from all stakeholders to align divisional and regional heat maps •Drive organizational alignment and transformation for the newly created team and elevate the strategic marketing competence within the RC Division and Danfoss. This includes the following disciplines: Segment Marketing, Marketing Communications, Marketing Intelligence, Digital Marketing, Training, and Product Information Management •Influence global high level policy stakeholders regarding energy standards and refrigerants •Conduct and analyze market research to determine competitiveness •Secure close collaboration with Danfoss Business Systems especially within Sales and Marketing •Commercially accountable for overall results by identifying and tracking KPIs that drive growth/measure performance •Drive framework for global positioning and pricing strategy •Serve as a member of the RC’s Global Management Team , and work closely with other stakeholders such as Product Development, Product Management, Sales and other Senior Executives to create demand and recognition for the Company and its products Your Profile •10 + years in Segment Marketing experience, 5+ years in Strategic Planning / Marketing Management, preferably in multiple geographies, in addition to a global context •Industry, market and product portfolio knowledge •Master’s Degree in business, MBA preferred •High level of business and financial acumen, together with professional demeanor •Proven leadership in a global matrix environment, skilled at navigating and influencing across cultures and disciplines •Strong skills in organizational development and change management •Exceptional track record in the strategic marketing discipline, with strong strategic planning and analytical skills •Proven ability to facilitate the development of a multi-year business plan For further information about the position, please contact Refrigeration HR Director Sandy Miller at +1 410 513 1073.
