About the department Chemical Development is part of Novo Nordisk Research & Development. Here you will find 53 highly skilled and motivated colleagues with a “can-do” attitude, who constantly challenge themselves to create and upscale robust chemical processes. The department is divided into three teams located in Bagsværd and Måløv. Our main responsibility is to develop and strengthen chemical processes from early production for pre-clinical and clinical studies ending with process transfer to the area responsible for market production. We do so in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders including early research, analysis teams, QA, and other pilot facilities. The job As team leader in chemical development you will be heading a research group responsible for development and production of API and intermediates for clinical trials. You will be a part of a strong management team and your responsibility is to ensure team deliverables and support the team members to fulfill their potential. We expect you to drive the planning and prioritization between projects in close collaboration with stakeholders, and we expect you to drive projects relevant for maintaining and developing productivity of the team. With your GMP mindset, you set direction for the team ensuring that it is supporting the requirements from the projects and authorities. Qualifications You hold a PhD or master degree as chemical engineer, pharmacist, cand.scient or similar. You have a solid background from a pharmaceutical/life science R&D or manufacturing organization and you possess solid knowledge of chemical development and have a strong GMP mindset. You have management experience and act as competent sparring partner to your team - coaching and empowering employees to deliver excellent scientific results and to take responsibility for their own professional and personal development. You lead and embrace changes and exhibit a structured and convincing approach to transitioning people and organizations from current to desired state. In addition to this, you are able to spur enthusiasm and energy around you, and you possess strong networking and interpersonal skills. Commitment to science and its industrial application, excellent communication skills, positive attitude and being a team player is expected from you.
