The Implementation and Performance Management research group studies the implementation of new work processes, technologies, and organizational changes. Our work supports Danish and international workplaces in their continuous effort to increase productivity and employee well-being through development of their production and service systems. We work closely with other research institutions and focus on management and organization, process management, implementation of changes, and working environment in Denmark and abroad. We study this from a socio-technical and systems perspective and apply an integrated approach based on humans and technology, management and organization, and organizational interventions in mixed methods or qualitative studies. In our bachelor and master courses, we teach management and organisation, business modelling, implementation and performance management, working environment and occupational health and safety. The research group is part of the Management Science division at the department DTU Management Engineering. Responsibilities and tasks Research Research will be performed in the broader context of Operations Management. In particular, the assistant professor will contribute to develop new knowledge about implementation processes in relation to primary interventions and organizational changes. The new knowledge should address some of the questions within the field of intervention research. Furthermore the assistant professor will participate in reaching the overall objective of the group, which is to identify the characteristics of production and service systems, which are able to ensure organizational performance, improvements in organizations, and employee well-being while daily operations are maintained. We expect you to be able to: •Actively contribute to the Department's production of knowledge through research and publications in recognized international top journals •Conduct qualitative research, within the field of intervention research, performance/wellbeing research, and evaluation methods where participants are involved. •Cooperate with industry, commissioning institutions and government research institutes. •Contribute to research grant applications Research-based teaching The applicant will coordinate, organize and teach at the bachelor level covering fields like management and organization for engineers. The position also offers the possibility of teaching assignments at the master level as well as course development activities. We expect that the person concerned is participating in the daily activities of the group and the division. Furthermore, the applicant will contribute to the internal collaboration at the department and external collaboration with industrial and academic partners in Denmark. Qualifications Candidates for an Assistant Professorship must hold a PhD degree in engineering science or similar. You do research within the field of implementation of changes and process evaluation, and you have journal publications in this field. Furthermore, you have teaching experience, and preferably within social science to engineering students (or similar).
