- Research & Development - Denmark - Måløv The Global Research Unit specialises in the discovery of biological medicines for the treatment of type 1 and 2 diabetes. We also discover and develop new innovative biopharmaceuticals for haemophilia and growth disorders. Furthermore, we conduct stem cell and beta cell regeneration research and other early-stage investigations aimed at finding a cure for diabetes, as well as exploring novel treatments for obesity and long-term, micro-vascular complications of diabetes. About the department Insulin Pharmacology Research is responsible for in vivo pharmacology including pharmacokinetic studies of insulin analogues and formulations in the research phase. The function consists of three pharmacology departments along with the Insulin Pharmacometrics department, totalling approximately 50 employees. The Insulin Pharmacometrics department, a newly formed department currently with 4 scientists (including this role), 2 PhD students and a professor in statistics (part time), is provisionally headed by the Vice President. The position You will, as part of the Insulin Pharmacometrics department, be responsible for analysing, interpreting and presenting PK/PD data as well as conducting mechanistic and PK/PD modelling and simulation. You will, together with the other pharmacometricians in the department, provide pharmacometric support and play a key role in the progress of the Global Research insulin projects. Focus is in the innovation and development of project specific quantitative analyses and mathematical models in close collaboration with other project scientists. You will be involved in cross-functional project teams with colleagues representing many different scientific disciplines. In our department we collaborate closely in planning and model-development processes across projects. It characterizes the department to have scientific and technical discussions, where we inspire each other and find novel ways to solve and answer project-specific questions. Qualifications You hold a degree within natural sciences, preferably you have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferable. You have solid knowledge of and hands-on experience with quantitative analysis with an emphasis on PK/PD analysis, modelling and statistics and excellent programming skills including the use of software such as Phoenix, R, Monolix, NONMEM, MATLAB or other similar. You are flexible, open to new ideas – your own as well as those of others, are a highly motivated individual, ambitious, result oriented and have a good sense of humour. The job requires proficiency in English and excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will be part of a department in a highly dynamic and challenging environment within Global Research.
