Do you have a background as computer scientist or software engineer combined with solid experience in designing and implementing software for controlling mechanical systems? Are you motivated by the challenge of complex assignments and finding the simple solutions? Then you might be the right candidate for the position as Turbine Software Engineer. Service & Plant Solutions > Service Engineering > Electrical Engineering Vestas Technology & Service Solutions is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved and tested. To put it short, we are shaping the future of modern energy and we operate on a global scale. Service Engineering focus on engineering solutions to optimize the performance of the vast fleet of Vestas turbines in operation across the world. We do that by introducing upgrade technologies to enhance production, extend the lifetime and reduce the service cost of the turbines to the benefit of the customers. In the Electrical Engineering department a dedicated team of turbine electrical experts bring together the need of the customer and the new technologies of Vestas to engineer the smartest service solution in the market. Responsibilities As Software engineer in Electrical Engineering you will be part of the engineering team that brings together the ideas across the electrical area into value adding projects. Scoping of different projects and executing fast solutions is crucial. In order to fulfill your tasks it is imperative that you are proficient within your own areas of expertise including: C/C++ SQL GIT, Jira, Stash development environment Wxworks Linux Furthermore you also have a fundamental and strong insight and understanding of the surrounding electrical and mechanical systems. Qualifications You have: Master degree in relevant area i.e. Computer Science. Minimum of 5 years of working experience working with software development. Experience in the real time embedded systems machine control domain. Knowledge of dynamical mechanical systems. Vast hands-on experience with product or technology development. You probably also have: Experience with Matlab/Simulink. Knowledge of Python scripting. Competencies You have a creative and pragmatic approach to new challenges, a natural flair for innovation and you thrive with varied tasks and challenging assignments. It´s important that you have knowledge concerning the surrounding systems, and that you are capable of collaborating and share knowledge with colleagues and stakeholders. You are result oriented with a strong focus on the task and you are able to meet your deadlines with the right quality.
