Then you may be the experienced scientist that we are looking for to fill a permanent position in Global Research. About the department Within Novo Nordisk Global Research, you will work in the department of Haemophilia Research Bioanalysis, part of Haemophilia Biology, located in Måløv, Greater Copenhagen Area, Denmark. The department consists of 14 highly skilled scientists and research assistants that support the discovery and development of new innovative biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of haemophilia. The department´s main responsibility is the development and application of coagulation assays. These functional assays are used to evaluate the in vitro potency of novel drug candidates and for bioanalysis of plasma samples from animals dosed with the drug candidate. The job We offer you an exciting and challenging job where you will participate in cross-functional project teams, where ambitious scientific goals require contributions from many highly specialised colleagues. You will contribute to the assay strategy and help progress the projects via your experimental results and knowledge of haemophilia, coagulation assays and drug development. Opportunities for coordination roles or project management are dependent on qualifications and experience. You will develop and qualify plasma-based activity analyses such as chromogenic assays, clot assays, or global haemostasis assays and apply them for potency estimation or for post-infusion monitoring of novel drug candidates in the research projects. You will transfer these assays from the research organisation to the development organisation and you will support development projects on assay-related issues. You will engage with stakeholders across the organisation and with external clinical and research experts. Communication through scientific reports, presentations and papers, and promotion of project proposals are also expected contributions. Qualifications Professionally, you hold a PhD degree with more than 5 years post-degree experience in development of functional biological assays and work in project teams. A good understanding of early drug development from idea to molecule in pharmaceutical industry is important, and project management experience is considered a plus. The preferred candidate has a good understanding of haemophilia and coagulation factors, and solid experience with enzymatic and plasma analyses. To be successful in this position, you must have superior analytical skills and the ability to understand complex biological systems. You are independent, flexible and result-oriented with a can-do attitude. You will act as a role-model, leading others across professional fields, and pro-actively take ownership of you areas of responsibility. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work in teams, the capability to navigate a large organisation and positively engage many stakeholders is essential. You must be a self-starter and be strongly motivated to explore innovative ideas and methods.
