A safety pharmacology position (Senior Scientist) is open for employment in the Department of Toxicology and Safety Pharmacology, in Måløv from 1st of September 2015 or as soon as possible thereafter. About the department The department is overall responsible for performing non-clinical studies supporting the safety assessment of drug candidates throughout development. Furthermore, we also provide toxicological support to material characterization in device projects and toxicological assessments to Product Supply. The job You will join our toxicology and safety pharmacology group and be allocated to drug development projects, where you will be representing our department. This includes coordination of activities with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. The focus for your projects will lie within our diabetes and obesity portfolio and your role will be to plan, secure performance of, and report state of the art non-clinical in vivo and in vitro safety pharmacology studies. You will be integrating data from these studies and other sources and thereby support a safety assessment of our drug candidates. You will be responsible for the scientific quality of reports and other documentation for submission to regulatory authorities in accordance with international guidelines. Qualifications You have a veterinary- or life science degree combined with a solid understanding of physiology and pathology. You have experience in experimental work and preferably an educational or professional background in safety pharmacology. Ideally you have experience with drug development of pharmaceutical drug candidates including involvement in the non-clinical safety assessment of biopharmaceuticals.
