As Business Development Manager within New Technologies you will be part of the process of identifying new opportunities and utilize Topsoe’s existing platforms within catalyst and technology to make new offerings to the market. In the past years, our team has introduced coke oven gas to SNG, methanol to gasoline catalyst and most recently, the market for up-grade of coke oven tar to diesel and naphta products. Our market place is the world. You will work side by side with your overseas colleagues in order to learn about the markets and to provide technical in-sight. Frequent contact, including travelling and participation in client meetings will be key factors to your success. You will be working on the technological cutting edge and the ability to communicate complicated technical issues, often containing some degree of uncertainty is a vital element in getting the job done. The basis of our work is a profound interest in chemical processes. We are working closely with our R&D Division, our technology development department, and other business units in this endeavour. To move things forward, it will often be necessary to involve external technology providers, offering complementary technologies. Your responsibilities •Identify and pursue new market opportunities •Support, educate and participate in meetings with our regional sales personnel •Create market strategies including strategic partnerships and new business models You •Wish to work and travel worldwide •Are interested in technology and market development •Wish to see your efforts materialise in new businesses Qualifications You have a degree in chemical engineering, preferably combined with a business degree. You have experience with sales, engineering, and/or technical service. It is a major advantage if you have hands-on industrial experience from start-up, operation, and/or design of refineries.
