A postdoctoral position is available in magnetic nanoparticle-materials at the Department of Physics (DTU Physics) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Job description The candidate will work with principles of nanostructuring new magnetic materials, using magnetic nanoparticles as building blocks. The work deals with assembly-processes and particle arrangements that can generate optimal magnetic order in new materials. Experimental work includes nanoparticle synthesis, advanced transmission electron microscopy studies and magnetization measurements. The position is part of a Sapere Aude project entitled “Small and Smart Magnet Design”, funded by the Danish Council for Independent Research. Qualifications Candidates should have a PhD degree in physics, chemistry, materials science or similar and qualifications in advanced transmission electron microscopy, either liquid-cell-TEM, cryo-TEM, or electron holography.
