Electrical Design Development In your new job you will be part of Oticon Medical R&D consisting of three different development sites; Smørum in Denmark, Gothenburg in Sweden, and Vallauris on the French Rivera. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary product development team together with mechanical engineers, audiologists, embedded system designers and software developers. Interaction with development teams at other Oticon Medical sites will be a natural part of your daily routine. As an Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for the electrical hardware design of our future sound processors and accessories. You will be developing the schematics and work closely with the hardware team on the PCB layout and realization of electronic products. You will work with wireless systems, power management, EMC, and acoustical performance of the sound processors. Your key responsibilities will include •Low power electrical design of sound processors •Electroacoustic development – from idea to product solution •Electroacoustic simulations & modeling of new concepts •Product integration, configuration & testing •Architecture, design and test documentation Electrical Engineer with experience from audio solutions In order to be able to handle the challenges in this job, it is of great advantage if you hold a Master’s or a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably with a specialization in acoustics, wireless systems, integrated hardware design, or similar. After graduating you have probably worked for a couple of years with electroacoustic design or electrical hardware design of audio products such as hearing aids, cell phones, headsets or similar. You have substantial knowledge of transducer design or hardware audio design and testing, and are probably familiar with other sensor technologies and RF/wireless technologies. You are experienced in product development with a clear focus on customer needs, and you are motivated by working in cross-professional development teams. You may have experience in working with external subcontractors or partners, but it is not a prerequisite. As a person you are a very efficient networker who quickly adapts to the varying projects you are working on. You have good communication skills and are a team player by heart. You are dedicated about your work, are self-managed and constantly focused on your goals. You enjoy working with colleagues from other cultures, and are able to travel 20-30 days per year, primarily to Vallauris and Gothenburg. Experience with electroacoustic standards for medical devices and regulatory demands is an advantage, but not a prerequisite. Want to join the team?
