The MITAS programme helps graduates develop a business mindset and gives a broad exposure to technical challenges, serving as a solid basis for future positions within the group. Maersk International Technology and Science Programme is a 2-year international entry level programme designed to prepare newly graduated engineers for technical and specialist careers. Working in a team of experienced engineers, you will be exposed to our approach to planning, design, negotiations and project execution. You could also perform inspection or trouble-shooting on rigs in operation or travelling to yard locations to inspect/participate in ongoing construction work. We expect you to question our methods, applying your commitment and knowledge to our continued development of industry-leading engineering solutions. A senior mentor will guide and help with your personal and professional development as well as help you plan your career progression. The MITAS programme will provide you with an unrivalled international network within the Maersk organisation, something you will continue to benefit from throughout your career. Key Responsibilities In two years with us, you will undertake three 8-month placements, in three different technical positions in at least two different countries, giving you a breadth of work experience in the oil industry, which is hard to beat. Furthermore, you will complete four training modules. These theory modules include subjects such as project management, process management, operations management, strategic thinking, entrepreneurship, risk management, economics, commercial understanding, communication, business ethics and law. Together with fellow MITAS engineers you will develop your ideas into real projects and pitch them to senior management. Successful completion of the program will ensure you a challenging and responsible position as well as giving you the foundation to become a technical leader or specialist in Maersk Drilling or in any other business unit within the group. Who we are looking for We are looking for newly graduated engineers (BA or MSc.) within the following disciplines: • Structural Engineering • Mechanical Engineering • Electrical Engineering • Naval Architectural Engineering You have a strong drive and the vision and energy to set new standards. You are creative and able to transform your ideas into practice and you thrive being challenged by project work / management. To succeed in the programme you must be motivated by a changing world of opportunities. Preferably, you have relevant student work experience and are interested in more than one engineering field. You need to be flexible, as the programme requires you to travel short or long-term periods with short notice.
