About the department The department CMC Analytical Support is part of CMC Drug Product Development in R&D. The department is responsible for a broad and exciting range of analytical methods and technologies supporting the development and production of new drug candidates. We are involved in the entire Novo Nordisk development project portfolio covering both diabetes and biopharm projects - from late discovery to product launch. The job During your internship, you will perform analysis laboratory work and provide support to our analytical laboratory and documentation processes. You will be a part of a team with 10 colleagues supporting the development projects with extraction and leachables analytical results and trouble shooting. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of internal stakeholders. After the internship period there could be an opportunity to execute a Master Science Thesis in the Analytical Chemistry area. Qualifications We are looking for a student who is top of the class in her/his Master Science program. The intern we are looking for is passionate about analytical chemistry. Skills within organic chemistry and polymer science will be an advantage but is not mandatory. Experience of one or more analytical techniques such as e.g. HPLC/UHPLC, LC/MS or GC/MS is a great advantage. You are currently studying on your master’s degree in science (pharmacy, chemistry, chemical engineering or other relevant scientific discipline). We expect the candidate to thrive in a busy environment and bring a can-do attitude. The candidate are expected to have sharp analytical skills and English writing skills. You are expected to have a flair for IT and good Excel skills will be an advantage. To be successful , you need a structured approach, have a critical eye for details and a mind focused on quality and enjoy working together with other people to make things happen. Finally, you must have a strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning. Practicalities Requirement: Students in their first or second year of their master studies.
