Department Description Business Controller - Group Finance Brief Description We have started a process in order to strengthen the business relation between Group Finance and the Business Units. You will play a central role in this change. Together with the units, you will participate in developing and implementing a higher degree of transparency across the organization. You will refer to the Business Performance Manager and will be part of a team of four engaged and team-oriented team members. You will be responsible for a number of global business units and will work together with them.As the majority of FLSmith’s activities are outside Denmark you will have the opportunity to work and collaborate with every corner of the world – estimated 20-40 travel days per year.The position will be based in Valby. Detailed Description Your area of responsibility and key tasks: This is a challenging position in an international environment where the level of performance has been set high in order to lift the business angle to an even higher level. Key tasks: · Prepare analyses - including profitability analysis · Analyze profit contribution on customer and contract level · Monitoring of total costs across the organization - including identification of costs drivers · Participation in the budget and forecasting processes · Project management and implementation of new standards and methods · Ensure effective and well-documented processes supported by IT tools · Ensure timely delivery and satisfactory quality · Contribute to month end closing and continually improving the Group's monthly reporting with specific needs to the individual business areas · Develop reporting models in co-operation with own organization and the decentralized business units · In co-operation with management develop and improve transparency of reporting including KPI’s and benchmark figures for the business units · Contribute to the transformation of the Group Finance · Act as partner both in your own group as in the business organization Job Requirements Your competences You have a Master degree within Finance or other relevant financial education combined with a practical experience from a financial department where you have worked as a controller within Financial Controlling and/or Business Controlling. Your former experience may be from a similar position in an international company. You have been working with geographical distanced units and know the challenges that will give you in respect of time and culture. You have experience in implementing new processes and systems in business units. You feel very comfortable in an international and professional environment where performance is a key to success. As a minimum you have a high level in using MS Office, Excel and Power Point, you may also have worked with Oracle and Hyperion. Your personality As a person you have strong analytical and communicative abilities combined with strong collaboration skills. You have a self-driven personality, and like to work in a performance culture where time often comes short. You are structured and well organized in the way you work. You have a natural interest in the business and will have a good eye for the details. You are ambitious, pro-active and will be an engaged team member in changing Group Finance.
