The Danish Technological Institute in Taastrup currently has a vacancy for a qualified textile engineer, chemical engineer, or similar, who is interested in working with a range of interesting and diverse assignments within the textile and clothing sector. Project work, customer-oriented assignments and product development As the successful candidate, you will primarily work with textile materials and construction, both in relation to clothing-related and technical applications, for use in industry and in building construction. As such, you will be involved with project applications, and you will also participate directly in research and development work. You will also contribute to the centre’s work of providing consultancy solutions for our customers. Such solutions include developing new materials and products, as well as preparing and compiling testing and certification specifications and documentation. The Centre for Textiles works closely with a number of other centres within the Danish Technological Institute, as well as in collaboration with many international universities and research institutions. Consequently, the position also involves both international and cross-disciplinary activities. Through your participation in development projects and consultancy assignments, you will not only work closely with leading Danish textile and garment companies but also with a range of international companies. You will join a team of dedicated and technically skilled colleagues working within the textile sector, all of whom are highly customer-oriented and experienced in providing solutions to meet the requirements of the textile and clothing industry – not least with regards to high quality and fast delivery times. Textile engineer, chemical engineer, MSc. or similar We welcome all applications from qualified textile engineers, chemical engineers, MSc graduates or similar. As our new colleague, we expect that you are capable of working with materials at a high technical level, and previous experience of tender bidding or R&D-project applications will be viewed favourably. Past experience of network building would also be a plus. This position is particularly attractive to applicants who enjoy a varied workday involving much and wide-ranging internal and external contact. As an individual, we expect you to be good at establishing contact with others and keen to take initiative.
