Career position within Group Accounting in Carlsberg Carlsberg Group is looking for a Financial Controller for our Group Accounting team in Copenhagen, Denmark. Group Accounting is responsible for the Groups external financial reporting and functions as a knowledge centre for accounting and in this capacity solves a number of ad-hoc tasks for the Group’s companies and participates in strategic projects for Carlsberg to support the organic and inorganic growth agenda. We now offer this exciting position where you will have key responsibilities in the external reporting cycle, in ad-hoc and Group Strategic projects. You will be a part of a team of four financial controllers reporting into VP, Group Accounting. The team is part of Group Financial Services with around 40 highly qualified and specialised employees. Responsibilities in external reporting and Group strategic projects The primary focus of the role is to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and act as active sparring partner for both subsidiaries and the other functions in Group Headquarters, among other in relation to acquisition of entities and structural changes in the Group. It requires working with markets and Group functions globally with contact to colleagues around the world to deliver solutions on projects. You will be operating in a matrix structure, in an international environment. The role includes responsibilities in financial controlling and external reporting, determination of accounting policies and practice as well as translating these into solutions in strategic projects. Areas of responsibility The role is independent and challenging, and has a broad array of work assignments ranging from requiring tasks in relation to monthly/quarterly reporting to strategic projects and ad hoc tasks such as: •Development of Annual Reports, Quarterly Reports and other external financial reporting •Cross Group financial controlling of the Group's entities and of major/significant items in the consolidated financial accounts at month, quarter and year end •Ensuring compliance with IFRS, Danish accounting requirements and stock exchange requirements •Development and maintenance of Group Accounting Policies, Finance Manual, including specific focus on update and implementation of new/amended IFRS's •Promoting and sharing the understanding of current accounting policies across the Group •Sparring with subsidiaries and other functions in headquarter on accounting related topics •Participate in Group projects to ensure correct accounting treatment and reporting, i.e. in relation to M&A, Group internal transfers, restructuring and other strategic Group projects Your profile We are looking for a colleague who: •Has a MSc in Business Administration Economics and Auditing or an MSc in Finance and Accounting •4-6 year experience as an auditor or from financial controlling in an international Group •Experience in audit/financial controlling, consolidated financial statements, external financial reporting as well as knowledge of and experience with IFRS accounting principles and preferably also of Danish accounting requirements •Language: Fluent in written & spoken English •Experience in working in an international environment •Numerate and analytical In order to achieve in this role, you need to have a good accounting/financial skills and to be highly analytical.
