Microbiologist for Antibiotic Drug Development (Denmark)

Position: AntibioTx is seeking an experienced, talented, and passionate microbiologist to help our ambitious team in solving one of the greatest threats to global human health: Developing novel treatments for drug-resistant bacterial infections. Role: Your role will encompass a blend of experimental and desk research assignments that are tightly linked to the success of our team. In particular, this includes identification and qualification of novel antibiotic leads and supporting the advancement of these candidates from the lab to the patient. Your abilities to contribute to the goal of bringing new antibiotic treatments to patients will directly determine your level of responsibility and rewards. Qualifications: A qualified candidate holds a PhD in microbiology from a reputable research group and has solid scientific foundation and experience within: - Antibiotics and antibiotic resistance - Clinical microbiology (MIC determination, kill kinetics) - Data analysis In addition, the candidate must be: - Well organized, systematic, and data driven - Sociable with good communication skills - Ready to make your career your No. 1 Priority Candidates with years of anti-infective development experience from biotech companies are preferred. Our Tx-discovery platform allows us to design and develop superior anti-infectives, cheap, efficiently, and at low risk by intelligently building upon active substances to achieve novel synergies and/or effects. The leadership team of AntibioTx has invented and advanced more than 15 novel medicines into late stage clinical trials. 5 of these compounds have so far made it to the market. In 2014, they saved thousands of lives and generated revenues exceeding 3 billion USD. AntibioTx is currently advancing four proprietary drug development programs in the preclinical stage.
