Job Description *LI-DEN 1 The cell culture group in Manufacturing Sciences at Biogen Idec, Hillerød, is a team of highly skilled Scientists who have the technical ownership of the manufacturing processes. We interact with numerous departments to ensure successful tech transfers, smooth resolution of process issues and effective execution of projects. We work in a world-class facility with both stainless steel large-scale equipment as well as a state-of-the-art lab scale- at the interface between development science and full scale recombinant protein manufacturing. As a cell culture scientist/engineer, you will provide engineering and scientific expertise to support clinical and commercial cell culture manufacturing processes. You will lead tech transfer teams, develop project plans, timelines and communication forums to ensure smooth transfers. You will support the execution of lab-scale experiments to aid in trouble-shooting, optimization efforts and manufacturing investigation support. Additionally, you will work to identify opportunities to improve systems and practices, and provide direction to technical development teams. You will get the opportunity to be a part of local and global projects that span multiple departments and cross-functional areas, including departments such as Engineering, Automation, Manufacturing, Compliance, and Quality Assurance. You will report to the Senior Manager of Cell Culture, Manufacturing Sciences and you will be a part of a team of 8 dedicated, highly competent colleagues focusing on cell culture operations. Professional Qualifications: Location Denmark-Hillerod Job Category Manufacturing Requisition Number 24151BR Qualifications Professional Qualifications: • Minimum 1 – 4 years’ experience, depending on educational background, in biopharmaceutical or related field • Broad background in mammalian cell culture and biologics • Capability of being able to absorb and utilize new knowledge quickly • Experience with root cause investigations and data analysis Personal Qualifications: • You have an analytic mindset • You have well-developed organizational skills • You are a good problem solver and able to prioritize your tasks effectively • You are used to working cross-functionally • You like to lead projects and team members, you ensure understanding of tasks, timely completion and follow up • You have highly developed English communication skills • You are flexible, hard-working and willing to take on responsibility • You have a positive, can-do attitude • You are an excellent team player Education Ph.D. with 0-1 year’s experience, M.Sc. with min. 4 year’s experience, or B.Sc. with min. 6 year’s experience in a relevant biopharmaceutical or related field.
