Would you like to play a significant role in the development and implementation of a cutting edge, low power wireless audio streaming system for Oticon’s hearing aids? Do you have experience with wireless system implementation? Can you see the challenge in combining this with firmware implementation in an advanced multicore system, limited by strict requirements to memory, power consumption and latency? Then we have a job for you as FW Developer in our IC development department! Implementation and test of wireless protocol stack In your new position you will be a part of the Silicon Engines group. This group consists of 50 engineers and is responsible for developing chipsets for all Oticon hearing aids. As part of Silicon Engines you will refer to the Head of Chipset & FW and, along with our six other firmware developers, be responsible for the hearing aid firmware. Your main tasks include: . Implementation and test of Bluetooth low energy protocol stack and proprietary adaptations . Design, implementation and test of firmware . Wireless performance optimization and development of future wireless systems / protocols . Support of wakeup and validation of HW prototypes . Development of demonstrators . Support of IC feasibility studies, support of IC development Experience with embedded systems development We expect you to hold an M.Sc or Ph.D. in Electronics or Computer Engineering and to have several years experience with development of embedded systems. Furthermore, we are looking for the following competencies and experience: . Firmware development and verification . Wireless protocol stack development, implementation and adaptation, e.g. Bluetooth . Audio streaming . HW wakeup and debugging Should you have skills in C/C++ and simultaneous development of HW and firmware, it will be considered an additional advantage. Moreover, experience with token based multicore systems and resource constrained systems would be advantageous.
