Finance Business Partner experienced within the core disciplines of business controlling, who understands working with key disciplines in analytics and relationship management. The FBP contributes in supporting, while at the same time challenging, the commercial organization ensuring financial targets are met. 

This role is within Sealand - the Intra European part of the Maersk organization. You will be a member of the Trade and Commercial Finance Team of 8. The role reports to the Head of Trade- and Commercial Finance

Key responsibilities

Work on activities related to driving the financial performance across the commercial organization. Your key responsibilities are: 

• Performance management of our demurrage and detention (D&D) business incl. reporting to management, performance analysis and engagement with cluster management teams
• Identify levers to improve D&D margins, including collaboration across the commercial- and operational functions to drive relevant initiatives
• Performance management of cost (SGA) ensuring optimal use of funds
• Drive SGA target setting process and ensure targets are met
• Drive service level agreements (SLA) with Maersk Finance who supports Sealand clusters locally and ensure services are relevant and standardized across clusters
• Provide recommendations on D&D- and SGA initiatives to Cluster management teams and Chief Commercial Officer 
• Own relevant analysis tools and work with Shared Service Center in India to improve and develop existing tools

We are looking for

Technical Skills:
• Possess key disciplines in business controlling (data understanding and translating data into business insights)
• Sound understanding of Excel and business intelligence platforms 
• Excellent analytical skills
• Fluent in English


Relevant experience:
• At 3-5 years of experience from a business controlling position
• Proven track record of business impact
• Financial education (master level)

Personal Skills:
• Ability and drive to quickly obtain business insight (business strategy, customers, products, value drivers, etc.)
• Holds a holistic perception to information at hand and act accordingly
• Excellent communications skills - Ensure high level of communication with key stakeholders and internal team members
• Outgoing personality
• Self-driven - can work with minimal supervision
• Holds a structured approach to problem solving
