Do you have experience with big data analysis, Hadoop and machine learning? Are you able to present complex data to various stakeholders at different levels in the organisation? And would you like to join a department which is currently building up a new set-up with the newest technologies?

The Performance & Diagnostics team consists of highly skilled data analysts and data scientists that perform advanced analytics to extract and operationalise value-adding insights from data. The team is working to consolidate all data from various measuring systems and IT-systems relevant to operations and condition monitoring of turbines to enable optimal utilisation of data. We strive to use the newest technology and are using a broad suite of products such as Azure cloud computing and Machine Learning, R, Python and Power BI.

Tasks & responsibilities: You will...

...be an expert in analysis and processing of wind turbine data for performance and diagnostic purposes, e.g. reliability, performance monitoring and analysis, root-cause analysis and fault investigation. You will develop tools for assessing component reliability and putting the knowledge into action by influencing the company's reliability-centred maintenance strategy. It is important that you have a good relationship with many different departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and improve performance from both a service operational as well as turbine data analysis aspect.

Your tasks will be:

• Analyse service operational data
• Analyse component failure data, failure rates and remaining useful life
• Develop models for operationalising Reliability Centred Maintenance
• Apply advanced supervised and unsupervised learning from big data sets to derive predictive analytics
• Developing models to predict risks of turbine stops/lack of performance.
• Work closely with our service teams to ensure follow-up, accuracy and tuning of monitoring algorithms
• Ad-hoc support to the organisation regarding performance, failures or any WTG analysis through data processing
• Developing tools and control them to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the MHI Vestas O&M activities

Skills & experience: Our new colleague...

...has a strong analytical mind-set and is driven by identifying and solving problems. You have at least 5 years of practical experience with big data and analysis of real data and predictive modelling or RCM. You have good technical understanding of turbines, maybe through experience from more technical positions in the industry. You are open-minded and possess good communication and English skills enabling you to explain highly complicated and technical issues to non-experts. It is essential that you have good networking and interpersonal skills so you can build strong relationships across various departments and functions. It is important that you can keep calm and handle various tasks simultaneously.

We expect that you:

• Have a master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or similar
• Can maintain a result- and quality-oriented focus
• Have experience with big data, machine learning and Hadoop
• Have experience with R, Python, SQL and Power BI
• Have experience with RCM
• Are a proactive and self-motivated team player
