Would you like to be a key part of our WTG foundation technology, both in a retrospective perspective and for future offshore wind farms? Join us and become Fatigue Specialist in Structural Design, where you and your colleagues will be responsible for designing offshore foundations for wind turbines – from feasibility and concept studies to detailed design and follow-up. Structural Design is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in Northern Europe in relation to your work. Your key tasks will be to •analyse data from tests and measurements and create FE models participate in development projects, both in-house and in collaboration with external stakeholders •manage standards, hereunder challenging boundaries •set directions for fatigue as an area and plan development activities, taking both monopiles and jackets into consideration. You will drive the fatigue related improvements of our future foundation designs as well as the basis of lifetime reassessment of existing offshore structures based on fatigue related data and your background knowledge. Your qualifications and core competences include that you •have a master's degree in engineering or similar with relevance to fatigue or metallurgy •have extensive experience with fatigue related problems in steel structures •have a proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks •posses leadership skills within fatigue as a profession •speak and write English fluently •thrive in an international environment and are able to create good relationships with your stakeholders. Moreover, you are ambitious, and you strive to achieve the best solutions. You also understand both technical and commercial interests.
