Would you like to be responsible for sending green electricity from some of the world's largest wind farms to consumers’ houses? Join us and become Offshore Installation Manager in the Offshore Cable Installation department which is responsible for organising, advising and overseeing the installation of both export and array cables from early design and feed through tender and contract signing to final installation. The department is part of Wind Power which has 1600 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our Danish offices in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area or alternatively at our London office in the United Kingdom on local terms and conditions. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility Your main area of responsibility will be to manage and coordinate offshore cable installation contracts for all phases of the project, including cable installation activities, supply of cable protection systems, rock-dumping activities, intertidal works, jointing operations, contractor cooperation etc. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring that the project is on time and that quality and economy meet the required standards. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •manage contracts, including coordination of installation activities on site •analyse and optimise installation procedures prior to and during installation •coordinate and attend inspections of vessels, tools and storage provided for the projects •maintain the daily contact with client representatives and report to management •ensure contractor's delivery and QA management of method statements and risk assessments. Your profile You have a relevant engineering background and extensive experience from offshore construction projects. Moreover, you have proven contract and interface management competences and excellent communication skills enabling you to create and maintain a professional relationship with all your stakeholders. It would be an advantage if you have a professional project management background and take a structured and holistic approach to your work. Furthermore, we expect you to have a stringent safety culture. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently. During hectic periods, it is crucial that you are able to stay calm, maintain an overview and remain focused on the essentials. You have a strong personal drive and a dedicated approach to your work.
