We are looking for an Category Manager for Corporate Procurement to manage the travel spend including leading negotiations, managing suppliers and working with our travel management teams and our global stakeholders. About the department We are 110 employees in Corporate Procurement and together with the global procurement organisation, we manage the total external spend of DKK 25 billion. This position is in the Travel team, which is part of the sourcing department also covering Marketing, Meetings & Events and Professional services (legal, finance, HR and mgmt. consulting). We are commercial experts with responsibility for leading the sourcing processes, negotiations and category management activities. To do this we collaborate with senior stakeholders and their teams across the organisation. We work fact-based, are dedicated to collaborative problem solving and take active leadership for the initiatives we are involved in. We have a dedicated focus employee development through coaching, frequent feedback, formal training and by giving a challenging responsibility to individuals.. Corporate Procurement is anchored with direct report to the Novo Nordisk CFO. The job You will be responsible for identifying sourcing opportunities within Travel, which includes airlines, hotels and ground transportation. With your travel management colleagues in the travel management team you will be responsible for converting opportunities into strategic initiatives, sourcing activities and negotiations, where you will take the lead. Creating business value, having a strong focus on optimising travel agreements within Novo Nordisk, balancing travel policies with stakeholder needs are all key to success in this position. As travel category manager you will work closely with the travel management team as well as senior stakeholders on defining needs, negotiate contracts, manage suppliers and develop, implement and operate category strategies within the travel area. You will reach out to peer companies and suppliers to find best practice business development opportunities All aspects requires your ability to communicate effectively and clearly when collaborating with senior stakeholders across the global organisation. You will typically drive several key projects simultaneously and will have to be well aligned with each of the project teams. You will be part of a strong team with focus on collaboration and personal development. Qualifications You have completed a Master's Degree (business administration, law, service management, engineering, supply chain management or the like) with a strong result. You have at least 5 years relevant sourcing or contracting experience. You may have experience from sourcing, selling or project work within business travel. You take leadership naturally and have high professional expectations for you and your colleagues. You communicate and sell your ideas effectively and have the ability to work with various stakeholders, colleagues, and suppliers. Finally, you work fluently in English.
