TEST MANAGER
Purpose:
Plan, lead and coordinate the testing of the Project One solution, produced by the central delivery team (CDT), ensuring that the solution is accepted by the end users.
Responsibilities
Participate in tying test approaches closely together with X-functional and E2E thinking.
Participate in scoping of System Integration Tests
Monitor and supervise tests executed by partner company
Scope and plan User Acceptance Tests (UAT) in close cooperation with local organisations for roll-out
Monitor and support local organisations, in securing resources and infrastructure for UAT
Lead and mentor a distributed team of CDT resources involved in UAT (planning, monitoring, motivating, etc)
Preparation/review of test plans and scripts together with local organisations
Preparation/review of test reports
Training and mentoring
Participate in creation and on-going development of an automated testing framework for use on the programme.
Initiate and participate in continuously improvement of test strategies, approaches, tools, processes, development and execution…
Skills / Background
Advanced knowledge of Software Testing theories, practices and delivery processes (including waterfall and agile methodologies).
Advanced ERP experience (preferably SAP)
Solid experience from conducting UAT in large ERP projects
Solid SOLMAN experience
Experience working in challenging and diverse cultures and environment
Experience in functional test planning, preparation and execution including experience of test design techniques
Detailed knowledge of both manual and automated testing along with automation frame work definition
Solid test management background within a fast-paced business
Person
Systematic and careful attention to detail.
A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work.
Proactive and not able to accept complacency
Comfortable taking a leading position, with resources, without having a formal leadership position above them
Ability to see the bigger picture, realising that all the small pieces plays a role in a large End to End puzzle
Excellent communication skills are essential as are exceptionally strong stakeholder management skills
Able to organise, manage and prioritise own workload and juniors to ensure deadlines are met
Results oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills
Confident manner in giving presentations
