Student Assistant for data management of subsurface-related activities

Would you like to combine your theoretical studies with hands-on experience in one of the leading energy companies in northern Europe? Join us and become Student Assistant in the Subsurface department which is responsible for exploration and production from existing and future oil and gas fields. As Student Assistant, your work will expose you to various tasks within geoscience and engineering. In addition, you will perform administrative tasks. The Subsurface Department is a part of Exploration & Production, which has 600 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We explore for and produce oil and natural gas. Today, our activities are centres in the seas off Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom, and we have an ambitious growth strategy with many exciting projects in the pipeline. You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. Areas of responsibility As Student Assistant, your main task is initially to locate, identify and rename different kinds of VSP data. When located, the data will be stored in our corporate database and exported to application used by our geophysicists/geologists. The work will be performed in close cooperation with the geophysicists and data management specialists. In addition to this, you perform various ad hoc tasks. Your profile You are pursuing a technical education relevant to the oil and gas industry, such as a bachelor degree in geophysics, geology, engineering or similar. You could be a student from the Technical University of Denmark or another relevant university. It will be an advantage if you have any experience in Excel and Petrel. Project management training is desirable. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently, and that you have a proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning. As a person, you are responsible, structured, careful and self-motivating. Furthermore, you also have good cooperation skills, enabling you to build up rapport with your stakeholders.
