For our Loads and Control department at our global engineering head office in Brande or – alternatively – at our office in Ballerup, we are looking for a Software Release Manager to strengthen our wind turbine control team. With the high level aim of minimizing the cost of energy produced by our wind turbines, the team is responsible for the development of wind turbine control functionality, control features and the related tool chain. As Control Software Release Manager you will be part of a dynamic team of committed engineers, and you will play a key role in ensuring that Simulink based auto generated production code is released to our software department on time and in the right quality. What are my responsibilities? • Managing the interface between the Turbine Control team and the software department • Ensuring that model (Simulink) based auto generated production code is delivered on time and in the right quality • Maintenance and further development of the Model (Simulink) Based Design tool chain including integration with wind turbine simulation platform and unit test environment. • Maintenance and further development of the Model (Simulink) Based Design workflow • Ensuring that auto generated software release and version control procedures are maintained and further developed, and that these are followed by the control functionality development engineers What do I need to qualify for this job? • A Master degree in Information Technology or Engineering • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience • Qualifications and several years of experience in management of software development projects • Experience with developing of control functionality software • Experience with Model (Simulink) Based Design is a significant advantage • As a person you are proactive, service minded and structured. You have a holistic mind-set and a primary focus on quality/processes rather than design • Excellent communication skills and operational leadership experience from a multidisciplinary matrix organization • Experience in using tools for agile software development (e.g. JIRA) • Excellent English skills both orally and in writing In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
