It is essential that you will take the lead in key areas and drive the Global Sourcing organization in bringing new supplier offerings to the business to reduce the total cost of energy. Working with key stakeholders including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Finance, this position offers the opportunity to impact the future strategy within Vestas Global Sourcing Global Sourcing is responsible for managing Vestas spend with external suppliers world-wide. As part of the Vestas strategy and transformation of Global Sourcing we need a strong leader who has the appetite to drive change and deliver results through value sourcing (i.e. bringing new supplier offerings that will drive top line growth and bottom line cost savings). Do you like to work with suppliers on new developments and a positive "can-do" attitude towards challenges? Responsibilities: You will lead the overall agenda and key initiatives in Global Sourcing focused on early engagement of suppliers and bringing new supplier offerings to the business, including modularization, new technologies, standardization and other supplier offerings that add value and reduce the cost of energy. Working closely with Sourcing VPs, Category Teams and key stakeholders including R&D, Manufacturing, Finance and Quality you will: •Put in place processes to secure engagement of suppliers at the early stages of design and development to secure both incremental and disruptive innovations pro-actively are brought forward; •Lead and coordinate inputs and activities in Global Sourcing related to the Vestas product modularization strategy. Your objective is to secure that when the strategy is implemented Vestas can achieve the lowest total cost in the supply chain (DfX approach). •Follow up on implementation plans and business performance to secure a flawless execution and business cases are delivered on or ahead of plan. •Support the development of innovative supply chain set-ups with new supplier offerings and when entering new countries. •Represent Global Sourcing in the activities with R&D related to supplier innovation and development. •Be a change agent and secure capability building through sparring, coaching, engaging with key stakeholders and the implementation of processes and tools that enable supplier innovation to flourish. Qualifications: We are looking for an ambitious and experienced person who has a track record of working with suppliers and stakeholders to successfully implement innovations in an international manufacturing organization. You have worked within an industrial company or a consulting firm on break through assignments for at least 2-4 years. You will have an open approach to encourage idea generation and the energy, drive and persistence to realize those ideas. You will have a create mind while at the same time being structured and fact-based. Furthermore, we are looking for a profile with a: •A holistic and positive mindset: you will see the big picture from Vestas product offerings to our customers to supplier offerings and how they can positively impact Vestas sales and cost out programs; •Strong analytical, structured and fact based approach •Persistent, hardworking and process oriented •Strong leader and influencer with the ability to bring people together •MBA or MSc.
