As Mechanical Engineer, you will be overall responsible for delivery of rotating equipment for process and accommodation platforms and have the opportunity to work on newbuildings all the way to installation and start-up offshore. In doing so, you will interface with the leadership team, contractors, equipment suppliers, other disciplines, as well as technical authorities and functions in Maersk Oil. In addition, we will ensure that you will be fully introduced to our business and our company and help you to make the most out of your skills. This is a position that requires mobility, as you will be stationed abroad. Key Responsibilities Being overall responsible for delivery of rotating equipment for a new processing module, you ensure all equipment is in full compliance with design, specification, codes, standards and regulations. This includes making sure that all equipment is certified and delivered with unconditional release note from certifying agency. You also ensure that all assurance activities are undertaken and reported/documented with any findings or deviations having undergone full assurance according to our procedures. Your tasks will be to: Prepare specifications of technical solutions within rotation equipment Provide input to overall Basis of design, functional specification and Scope of Work. Participate in Tendering /Clarification/Negotiations/Order of equipment as a technical specialist Provide technical direction for design contractors, follow up during design and fabrication, and participate in FAT and SAT tests Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, lay-out review etc. Who we are looking for As an engineer, you are experienced working with mechanical design and specification. You have knowledge of turbomachinery, control systems and operation of same. Having a background in an offshore industry, you are familiar with industry design standards. You have knowledge of planning and executing offshore work and understanding of broader implications of technical work, e.g. operability, commissioning and handover. You speak and write English fluently.
