Help us move from quality control to quality assurance As our new Manager, you will lead an international and very diverse team of Technical Designers. Together, we deliver technical development and specifications in 3D and 2D documentation for all existing LEGO Elements manufactured in the LEGO Group. Our systems are based on quality control, and you will help us move towards quality assurance and deliver (technical) sparring to the Senior Manager as well as: - Make your team shine by supporting their individual development and encourage your team to deliver their very best - Ensure that your team is ahead of the growth and sustainable materials agenda - In cooperation with the Senior Manager - and in compliance with the over-all strategy and prioritisation of TED Maturing and Standardisation - set your team's direction - Be responsible for defining and executing the strategy within your team and delivering strategic recommendations relating to your department to the Leadership Team - Serve as a role model in initiatives such as Continuous Improvement/LEAN, providing standardised solutions, etc. Influence the final product by leading your team This is a role of great influence and responsibility, and it is central to delivering LEGO Elements of the utmost quality. You will inspire and drive your team to deliver only the very best and collaborate with stakeholders across Engineering, giving you a broad network. Leader who thinks holistically throughout the value chain The challenge in this position is to manage a diverse team while setting clear direction as well as balancing stakeholder management in a very dynamic environment. To facilitate this, you: - Most likely have an engineering degree combined with a project management certification or a M.Sc. backed up by a strong technical insight - Have a few years of management experience or experience in working closely with management - Have a quality assurance mind-set, ideally from a track record in quality assuring design, e.g. in a production company (as Quality Leader who knows how to conduct random sampling) - Have strong networking, communication and collaboration skills, just as you value the opinion of others - Can communicate effortlessly in English Join the global LEGO Family In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family where you will collaborate and have fun.
