Work as an electrical expert and participate in studies and front-end engineering design As Senior Specialist within electrical engineering you will be responsible for technical design in accordance with our contracts and international standards. Some of the projects will be multidiscipline projects where you will be working closely together with highly skilled engineers within automation, process, safety, piping & mechanical, structural and maintenance departments. The projects are performed in close contact with our clients through status meetings. You will be working with tasks such as: •Studies and front-end engineering design where the electrical power generation and distribution systems are specified •Participate in upgrade projects where electrical power systems are designed to a detailed level e.g. motor starters, frequency converters, trace heating, lighting and measurements •Manage electrical steady state calculations as load flow, short circuit motor start calculation in cooperation with our specialists in Chennai, India •Development of advanced electrical calculations as dynamic stability and harmonic analyses •Project management including weekly client meetings and participation in larger multidiscipline projects;•Estimation and control of Cost, Time and Resources •Budget/report management of hours and resources •Be responsible for the electrical part on multidiscipline projects and manage up to 4 electrical engineers and assistants •Coach/mentor for younger employees in the electrical department You may expect offshore travelling up to 2-4 times a year, typically 1-3 days at a time. Strong analytical specialist and a great relationship-builder Your structured and result-oriented approach combined with your excellent communication skills ensures projects of high quality, delivered on time and within budget. You value continued correspondence with clients throughout a project, and it comes naturally to you to collaborate across disciplines where you build good relations with colleagues. Your solid experience in handling projects enables you to handle several projects at a time. To be a success in this position, you need the following competencies: •B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering combined with education as electrician or •Marine Engineer/Technical Offshore Manager combined with education as electrician or •AP in Service Engineering (El-installatør) combined with education as electrician •Min. 10 years of successful experience within the offshore oil & gas sector •Proficiency in English is a must, and Danish is an advantage •Skilled user of Microsoft Office programs; Word and Excel •Knowledge within the calculation program Palladin DesignBase (EDSA) or ETAP •Project management experience, preferably with international oil and gas projects Your new colleagues You will get 40 new colleagues in the Electrical, Automation and Telecom department in Esbjerg including 6 colleagues in India.
