Would you like to lead the development of production technology related to stainless steel? And do you want to collaborate closely with international suppliers, specialist colleagues and technological research partners?
In Grundfos, we are Danish front runners in stainless steel production technologies. Collaborating with international metal specialists like yourself, you will take our competences in stainless steel to the next level and provide hands-on technological support to the production.

Develop our stainless steel production technology
You will become part of our Advanced Mechanical Engineering Motor department in Bjerringbro. Here, you will join 25 engineering specialists and project managers who develop the production technology that enables us to produce 16,000,000 sustainable Grundfos motors every year. Together with your fellow stainless steel specialist, you will be responsible for developing the production technology related to stainless steel. Doing so, you will:
- Collaborate with international raw material and tool suppliers to approve new solutions
- Work closely with research partners on metal development projects
- Be part of Grundfos' global Process Review team of metal/stainless steel specialists and drive global knowledge sharing and standardisation on the area
- Provide on-site production support related to metal/stainless steel forming
- Support internal development projects related to material science within the area of metals
You can expect to travel 10-25 days a year to visit suppliers, production sites and specialist colleagues, primarily in China, Hungary, USA, Serbia, Taiwan, Mexico and within Denmark. Apart from that, we offer flexible workhours, and you are free to work from home if it fits into your tasks.
Material specialist with knowledge in metal
To succeed in this position, it is essential that you:
- Have a master's degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, metallurgy or similar
- Have good theoretical knowledge of and experience working with metals, including heat treatment and surface treatment
Furthermore, it is desirable that you:
- Have experience within cold forming of stainless steel and preferably also nickel-based alloys
