About the department
The Department of Stem Cell Biology is placed in Måløv and is part of the newly established Stem Cell R&D unit at Novo Nordisk. We count 8 academics and 11 technicians and are experts in stem cell biology.
The position
You will join a team that supports all the stem cell projects across Novo Nordisk’s current pipeline. Our technological base consists of analytical flow cytometry in combination with a drive to automate all/most of our processes.
The ideal candidate should have a strong track record in flow cytometry and a solid understanding for liquid handling station operations. A drive and flair for working with complex machines and new software in general is a must. You will be responsible for robot loading, cell preparation, antibody staining, data acquisition and analysis as well as upload of data to internal data bases. You will have a key role in weekly deliveries of high quality flow cytometry data to various projects and you should take pride in the accuracy and precision by which the data was generated.
As we are constantly working to improve our staining and work flows we are looking for a person who will enjoy the combination of a big core of routine work together with a smaller portion of optimizations and new developments.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a master degree in biological sciences, engineering or similar and has documented experience in working with flow cytometry and with liquid handling stations.
You are dedicated about your work and have a strong drive to take responsibility. You are quality-conscious, well-organised and have a flair for electronic data handling and reporting. We are working in an environment that is constantly changing and therefore it is an advantage to have a positive attitude, an open mind, be flexible and embrace change.
Knowledge and experience with the FlowJo analysis software, single-cell ribonucleic acid-sequencing or liquid handling station programming is considered a plus, but not a necessity.
You must handle spoken and written English.
