Application date Sunday, January 3, 2016 - 23:59 Location Lyngby, Denmark Global Raw Material Procurement is part of the Catalyst Production supply chain which has the operational responsibility for all steps from catalyst order to delivery as well as global responsibility for the core supply chain processes and standards. Global Raw Material Procurement is responsible for ensuring that we have the right supplier base, that they live up to our requirements and to drive the strategic and tactical decisions related to our suppliers. We are responsible for an annual spend of 1.6 billion DKK. The department consists of 8 people covering sourcing of raw materials to Haldor Topsoe. Currently, the department is in a transition phase working on becoming a more globalized and strategic partner to the rest of Haldor Topsoe. Hence, there is an opportunity for the right candidate to make an impact. As Category Manager you will have close collaboration with other areas of the organization i.e. R&D, Quality and production. Collaborations primarily take place through our product teams. We have global supplier base as well as stakeholders at our production sites outside of Denmark - hence some travel activity will be part of the job. Your responsibilities •Implement and drive Category Management within own categories •Establish strategies in Category/Supplier level •Ensure strategic sourcing processes are in place •Take ownership of supplier relations •Develop and maintain KPIs within own categories/suppliers •Negotiate commercial terms and agreement with suppliers •Monitor raw material markets and supplier performance. Qualifications The ideal candidate has a degree within supply chain management, engineering, business or similar. You have several years of experience with sourcing in an organization working with category management. As a Category Manager in Haldor Topsoe, you must be able to actively contribute to the implementation of category management, not only within own categories, but also in sharing best practices with colleagues. Experience with ISO or similar quality standards would be an advantage.
