You liaise between the workshop and the market  

As Milestone Systems’ new Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing messaging, value propositions and compelling stories for the Husky line of Network Video Recorders. You will be working closely with the product development teams to truly understand the practical implications of each of the remarkable achievements that go into the hardware. Capturing the developers’ enthusiasm and excitement, you translate it into tangible value propositions for the Milestone sales teams and external partners responsible for developing sales materials and taking the product to the market.   Furthermore, you will be responsible for the messaging and value proposition for our partner program called System Builder. This program allows other hardware vendors to deploy our XProtect software on their hardware.  While Milestone Systems is a premium brand when it comes to video management software, the Husky systems are our first venture into hardware. This means you can measure your success in how little time it takes you to help our hardware take the same market position. To see what our competitors are up to, and to find out what makes our customers tick, you will spend 5-10 days a year traveling to trade shows and industry fairs.  

Technical understanding and marketing experience 

You have a university degree in sales, marketing or another relevant field, and your academic credentials are backed up by at least five years of product marketing experience. Ideally, you have gained your professional experience in the tech or IT industry, where you have acquired solid general knowledge on hardware and software. You speak and write English on a professional level, and you have the technical understanding and creative ability to translate technical specifications, product sheets and developer jargon into compelling value propositions and engaging stories.   As a person, you are a confident and convincing communicator adept at building professional relationships with your Milestone colleagues and external partners. You are not afraid to keep asking questions until you are certain you have the information you need.And you answer questions from colleagues and partners with patience and understanding.
