In your new position, you will be part of Oticon’s Sales and Marketing department consisting of app. 90 dedicated and highly skilled colleagues. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that Oticon’s core messages and stories are communicated to our hearing aid customers worldwide with the overall goal of ensuring that our products become the number one choice in the market. Until now, the PR & Communication tasks have been carried out by various functions, but we now want to strengthen our efforts by creating a dedicated position for this job with report to the VP of Oticon Sales & Marketing. Thus, you will get the chance to put your own fingerprint on the content of the positon. From an overall perspective, we expect you to handle the following: Create a PR & Communication Strategy (including Social Media) and define our must win battles Execute plans in cooperation with the Sales & Marketing organisation (globally) as well as other key stakeholders within the William Demant corporation Build external network to ensure that we utilize our position as an industry leader to make our key messages communicated and heard Besides the strategic initiatives, we also expect you to enjoy digging down into more practical tasks such as writing engaging copies and developing event and activities that ensure that we get a high impact on our key audiences. We take it for granted that you consider social media a natural part of everything you do in relation to communication and PR – both on the strategic and operational level. Solid PR and communication experience In order for you to become a success in this positon, we expect you to have at least 7 years of documented experience with PR and communications tasks – preferably from a company within the area of consumer electronics, technology or the like. Here you have gained strong knowledge of the workings of the media and professional organisations in general. You are used to working with social media and knows what it takes to make a story go viral. We are open in relation to your educational background, but we prefer applicants who have a good mixture of journalism and business. As a person you are extrovert and have strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills making you a good team player with focus on networking. You have the mental bandwidth to work effectively in a complex environment and your analytical and business oriented mindset make you capable of angling and communicating a good story to the right audience at the right time thus strengthening our brand awareness. You are admired for your ability to manage time and work under high pressure and because you are a dedicated self starter that always gets the job done.
