If so, this job might be just what you’re looking for… About the department Government Affairs and Trade Policy is an area within Corporate Stakeholder Engagement at Novo Nordisk A/S. We engage and co-ordinate the company´s activities with governments and trade associations to create a supportive environment for people with diabetes and Novo Nordisk. You will join a small, but expanding team of highly skilled colleagues. We are located at Novo Nordisk new headquarter, NN1, in Bagsværd, Copenhagen. The job You will be responsible for driving and facilitating Novo Nordisk´s relations with Danish politicians and officials. As part of this, you will co-ordinate an internal group of representatives from a broad range of corporate functions and Novo Nordisk´s Danish affiliate. You will secure that government affairs and issue management plans are in place, develop internal briefings and take external meetings when needed. You will provide government affairs support to internal functions and management. Finally, you will assist in developing internal training and courses on government affairs execution. You will work with a broad range of topics, which may include diabetes prevention and treatment, innovation, export, patents, tax, infrastructure, research and talent attraction. Often other colleagues will have the functional expertise within these areas, and your role will be to provide the political and strategic insights and co-ordinate the efforts. You will also work to leverage some of Novo Nordisk´s strategic platforms and projects, including Changing Diabetes®. Qualifications You hold a Master’s degree in the field of political science, business administration, economics, law or similar, and you have a minimum of 4-6 years’ experience from government, public administration or a similar role in the private sector (ideally the pharmaceutical industry). You have an in-depth understanding of the Danish political system at national and regional level, the Danish healthcare sector and a good understanding of the business environment of Novo Nordisk. A strong personal network to key Danish decisions makers (policy makers, political-financial institutions, patient associations, private sector etc.) is a clear advantage. You combine an international mind-set with a track record of success in project management and in providing support to senior management (briefings, presentations etc.). You are well-respected and able to build positive relations. You have good strategic, analytical and communicative skills, are structured, flexible and solution-oriented and in addition able to drive change and adapt to new challenges.
